Church Transformation for Timid Churches Training Event Scheduled for September 29
The Capitol Area South District is sponsoring a training event with nationally known consultant and author the Rev. Tom Bandy. The event is scheduled for Monday, September 29, from 9 to 4 pm, at the Reynoldsburg UMC. The cost of the event is $5.00 for the lunch. Through special arrangements with Net Results and Easum Bandy Associates, there is no charge for Tom Bandy's presentation.

Check out the Southside Mission Experience for a Work Camp Close to Home This Summer
The CAS District Mission, Outreach, and Evangelism Team is working with the United Methodist Ministries of the Capitol Area Districts in offering a work camp mission experience on the southside of Columbus. The work camp is scheduled for July 17-21, 2008. This workcamp is designed for Adults and youth ages 15 and up. The cost is $100 per person ($200 per family). Bishop Ntambo and North Katanga Conference Delegation Visit the Capitol Area South District
On May 8, Bishop Ntambo Nkulu Ntanda and members of the North Katanga Conference Delegation to General Conference visited the Capitol Area South District. On the evening of May 8, Westgate UMC hosted an International Dinner for the Bishop and members of the delegation. Click HERE to see pictures of the event.

SOWER Project Gears Up for '08
S.O.W.E.R. is an acronym for Sharing Our Witness – Enriching Relationships.
SOWER is a West Ohio Conference VIM project in conjunction with Henderson Settlement, Frakes, Kentucky, which is a component of the Red Bird Missionary Conference. The SOWER project is run in conjunction with Henderson Settlement’s Work Camp Program to enhance the lives of the people of Southeast Kentucky by improving their housing situation.
