Welcome to the Capitol Area South District
|
Our Mission:
The mission of the Capitol Area South District is to encourage and equip United Methodist congregations in their mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Our Vision:
The vision of the Capitol Area South District is that all local churches are to be disciple-making centers that mirror the demographic composition of the community in which they are located in terms of age, ethnicity, and cultural background; and that the congregations continually grow and reach new people for Christ and strive to be open and inclusive of all God's children.
On this website you will find information and resources for the Capitol Area South District, the West Ohio Annual Conference, and the United Methodist Church.

As an alternative, hard copies of the reports can still be mailed to the conference office. Reports must be submitted online or received in the conference office by February 8, 2010.

As many of them and their clergy often feel ignored and neglected, there is an urgent need for transformative leadership, as well as creative and integral approaches to mission and evangelism. Dr. Anthony Pappas (author of Entering the World of the Small Church) and Dr. Robin Knowles Wallace (MTSO faculty and author of Worshiping in the Small Membership Church) will offer seminars around the theme of “Missional Renewal of the Small-Membership Church.” For more information, please visit http://www.mtso.edu/Events/MEI.htm or contact Dr. Joon-Sik Park at jpark@mtso.edu or 740-362-3367.
